Design Story

The layout is built on a vertical spine: the words DEAD OR ALIVE sit as a thin rule at the top, the bounty numerals stretch edge to edge beneath them, and the name anchors the base in heavy brushed lettering. Behind the red-haired figure, a circular red field acts as a halo and a target at once, its edges torn into dry-brush strokes that suggest weather rather than movement. The pose is deliberately quiet — shoulders squared, coat slipping back, expression steady and unhurried. Small marks in the margins, a skull crest, a spade seal, vertical Japanese characters, are placed like footnotes, keeping the eye circulating instead of resting.

Carry & Styling

On a tote, the front panel carries the entire poster at full scale, so the numerals read from across a room while the finer marginal details reward a closer look. The handles frame the composition without crossing it, and the pale surface leaves generous negative space at the outer edges, letting the black and red hierarchy stay legible while the bag is carried.
