Design Story

The hierarchy is textbook centered medallion: the circular red-and-white team emblem sits dead center, framed by a laurel wreath and two crossed bats. Behind it, a stylised ballpark and city skyline fill the upper field, scoreboards flanking left and right. Banner typography anchors top and bottom — CHICAGO arched above, EST. 1876 on a scrolled ribbon below, with a small batter silhouette closing the axis. Two stitched-looking baseballs weight the lower corners. Filigree scrollwork runs the perimeter into a layered gold-line border, so the artwork resolves cleanly at the edge instead of bleeding off.

Room & Styling

On a rug this scale, the centered medallion is the advantage. Coffee tables and low seating can sit over the outer scrollwork while the emblem stays readable from standing height.
